INDIGENOUS EXPERIENCE |

Tarnya is the director and principal Clinical Psychologist at NewPsych.

NewPsych began after Tarnya returned from her work as a psychologist in the UK with fresh new ideas. In the beginning it was just her and a mobile phone! Now, NewPsych is a team of excellent people in a beautiful space all committed to helping people achieve their potential.

With more than 25 years' clinical experience, she has a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma, as well as most of what life throws us all.

Tarnya writes a weekly column for the Newcastle Herald and is the psychologist the paper usually calls upon to comment on anything psychological. She is a regular speaker on ABC radio and a regular guest speaker in the local community.

Tarnya runs training for organisations interested in helping their people be the best they can.

Tarnya has a patient husband and four energetic sons, so most of her time is spent juggling!

If you wish to meet with a psychologist with Indigenous experience other than Tarnya, please contact our practice on (02) 4926 5005
