Ryan Williams

Psychologist

| ADOLESCENTS YOUNG ADULTS |

Ryan has experience as a support worker assisting people who had experienced Acquired Brain Injury or severe mental health diagnoses with daily living skills. Ryan has 9 years’ experience working as a Psychologist in the Disability Sector and Corrective Services.

He has worked with clients across the lifespan dealing with anxiety, depression, anger and substance abuse. He has an interest in working with adolescents and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Conduct Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder.

 

Ryan enjoys working collaboratively with his clients and their supports to explore what style of intervention is best suited to them. He uses a Person-Centred approach and draws on strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Behavioural Support strategies, Motivational Interviewing and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.

Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, reading, attempting to cook new recipes and ice hockey
