Kate Brettell
Provisional Psychologist

ADULTS

Kate is a provisional psychologist dedicated to supporting people through life’s challenges and changes. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate and evidence-based, with a focus on creating a safe, inclusive and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood.

Kate works with adults experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression and low mood, life transitions and adjustment, workplace stress, and relationship challenges. She has a particular interest in women’s health and wellbeing across the lifespan, including fertility, perinatal and perimenopause and menopause.

Her approach draws on a range of evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Schema Therapy. She is committed to finding strategies that fit your unique strengths and needs.

Before training in psychology, Kate spent 25 years working in leadership, learning and organisational development, including coaching leaders and their teams. This shaped her strong interest in resilience, wellbeing, and how people can grow even in difficult times.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys being in nature, keeping fit and spending time with her family, her friends and her dog.
