Prior to working with NewPsych Psychologists, Kat worked as a qualified Human Resource professional for 20 years, specialising in recruitment and operations management.

As a Psychologist, Kat uses a combination of evidence-based approaches including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to work with adolescent and adult clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bi-polar, trauma, stress, grief and loss, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.  Kat adopts a range of tools and techniques such as cognitive restructuring, emotional overlaying, behavioural change and activation, and relaxation/mindfulness, to provide a holistic and personalised approach to therapy.

Kat is passionate about working with people to better understand themselves through a process of self-discovery, education and breaking down barriers to uncover a platform for becoming their best selves.  Outside of work Kat loves all the simple pleasures like spending time with family and friends, good food, yoga, beach, and  music!
