Ana Numa
Psychologist

ADOLESCENTS ADULTS

Ana Numa is a bilingual psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds since 2009. Originally from Colombia, Ana completed her Clinical Master’s degree before moving to Australia in 2015, where she obtained full registration with AHPRA.

Ana is passionate about understanding how trauma impacts the body and mind. She integrates various therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Creative Arts Therapies, Solution-Focused Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to meet each client’s unique needs.

As a registered psychologist and certified yoga teacher, Ana incorporates mindfulness techniques into her practice, helping clients develop present-moment awareness as a foundation for deeper self-understanding. She is particularly interested in using art and drama as powerful tools for emotional expression when traditional verbal therapy may not be sufficient.

Ana’s warm and energetic nature enables her to build strong therapeutic relationships based on compassion and respect. She has experience supporting children, families, couples and individuals facing life transitions.
