Jackie has worked as a therapist for 20 years. She has a Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy.
She enjoys helping people work on their significant relationships in a supportive, inclusive and non-judgemental manner. She works collaboratively with her clients, acknowledging that they are the experts on themselves, while bringing her training and years of experience, to the process.
Jackie has supported couples at all stages of their lives with a range of issues like dealing with conflict and poor communication, parenting or step parenting issues, challenges with intimacy or infidelity, and issues involving loss and grief.
She herself has been in a long term relationship for many years and has two adult children as well as grandchildren.
Over the last 6 years Jackie has honed her work with families and was instrumental in developing a successful family therapy clinic and team at her last workplace. She presented aspects of this work at a conference for the Australian Association of Family Therapists. Jackie believes that in most cases it is important to bring the whole family to a first family therapy appointment. This allows
family members to have an opportunity to speak and to be heard by the others in their family, and offers a more complete picture of the family’s circumstances to the therapist.
Jackie believes that in our busy modern lives that most relationships benefit from some professional attention every few years.
