Amanda is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked with individuals across the lifespan in both private and public settings. While Amanda welcomes people from all walks of life, she is passionate about supporting individuals from the LGBTIQA+ community and the unique challenges they may face. Amanda has experience in working with Neurodiversity, and adopts a neuroaffirming approach to her practice.
Clinically, Amanda works with adults facing a range of challenges, including: trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, all matters sex and gender diversity, and the challenges and strengths associated with neurodiversity (such as ADHD and Autism).
Amanda's preferred therapeutic models include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focussed Therapy, and more recently Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), but she always works hard to tailor treatment modalities to the individual. Amanda is a member of the Australian Professional Association for Transgender Health (AusPATH), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Association of Australia (EMDRAA), and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Most importantly, Amanda consciously works to create a safe space for all individuals, ultimately supporting them to live rich, full and meaningful lives.
In her spare time, Amanda loves to be outside; snowboarding, camping, going on bush walks, or relaxing at the beach. Amanda enjoys spending her weekends with her family and friends, and her dog, Maximus.
