Abbie sees children, young people and adults and enjoys assisting clients to manage their wellbeing, including focusing on improving depression, anxiety, attention, self-esteem and grief. Her particular passion is working with people to manage anxiety and to build resilience.
Abbie focuses on compassion and empowerment to build a sense of wellbeing. Abbie believes in a person-centred approach which includes employing evidence-based treatment to work towards a client's goals. She incorporates models such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her framework to work with each person’s individual needs.
Abbie has been working as a psychologist for a couple of years and is due to complete her Masters in Clinical Psychology this year. Abbie is also undertaking further training in Family Therapy.
Besides finding her love of working with people as they achieve their personal goals, Abbie enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, playing sport, reading and spending time with her pets.
